The American Chemical Society (ACS) Scholars Program will award approximately 100 scholarships of up to $3,000 each to sophomores, juniors, and seniors pursuing four-year degrees in the chemical sciences (chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, and environmental science). The application deadline is Sunday, Feb. 15.

To qualify, candidates must be:

-African American, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian
-U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident
-high academic achiever in chemistry or science (3.0 grade-point average or better)
-able to provide evidence of financial need

Students planning careers in medicine or pharmacy are not eligible.
