Lafayette’s student a cappella groups are holding auditions this week in search of new singers.

Cadence, the women’s group, will audition 4-6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in the Farinon Center Marlo Room. Prospective members are asked to prepare a one- to two-minute solo consistent with the repertoire (songs played on the radio, e.g. pop, R&B, oldies, country, etc.). The Chorduroys, the men’s group, will audition at the Kirby House library 4:15 p.m. Thursday. Those trying out should prepare a short solo and be prepared to do some sight-reading.For more information, contact music and economics & business double major Dave Mitchell ’05 (Bear Creek, Pa.) at mitchedk or x0899.

Soulfege, the mixed a cappella group, will audition at the Kirby House library 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Quintessence, the jazz a cappella group, held its auditions yesterday.
