The Marquis, the student literary magazine, is accepting submissions for its spring issue.

Poems, short stories, creative essays, photographs, and other two-dimensional art are eligible. Entries must be mailed to box 9474 or emailed as an attachment to saxtonb by Friday, March 5. Name, class year, and contact information should be included.

Questions about submissions policy or joining the editorial staff can be directed to one of the editors-in-chief, International Affairs major Jesslyn Roebuck ’06 (Montgomery, N.Y.) at roebuckj or Ben Saxton ’04 (Walker Valley, N.Y.), a double major in English and economics & business, at saxtonb. The staff meets 7 p.m. Mondays at 623 Parson Street.

The Marquis is advised by Lee Upton, professor of English and writer-in-residence. The group’s goals are: “to foster poetry appreciation on campus by creating a positive literary environment; to provide an outlet for the presentation of student writers; to produce an innovative and creative magazine each semester that focuses on a combination of progress and tradition.”
