The 23rd annual Canal History and Technology Symposium will be held at the Simon Center tomorrow.

Sponsored by Lafayette and the National Canal Museum, the event will include presentation of research papers on transportation and industrial history. Topics will range from “A Japanese Prince Visits Bethlehem Steel in the Early 20th Century” to “Hydro Electricity in Monroe and Northampton Counties.” The text of selected papers is published in Canal History and Technology Proceedings.

The cost is $54 for members of Hugh Moore Historical Park and Museums or $60 for nonmembers and includes registration, continental breakfast, buffet lunch, informal reception at the National Canal Museum, and a copy of the proceedings. To register, call 610-559-6616 or email membership@canals.org.
