Auditions for the April 1-3 performances of Anything Goes, the 2004-05 Marquis Players spring musical, will be held 5-7 p.m. Sunday and 6-8 p.m. Monday in the Farinon Center Marlo Room.

Those trying out may choose one of the two sessions. Call backs will take place later in the week.

Roles will be cast for character roles and chorus members. Those trying out should be prepared to sing a Broadway-style song (a cappella or to their own CD) and dance a bit; tap shoes should be brought if they are available. For more information, email Marquis_Players@yahoo.com.

With lyrics and music by Cole Porter, Anything Goes was produced at the Alvin Theatre on Nov. 21, 1934, with William Gaxton as “Billy,” Ethel Merman as “Reno,” and Victor Moore as “Moon.”

The Marquis Players produce an annual musical to raise money for charity. Members of the 2004-05 executive council are president Toni Ahrens ’05, vice president Benji Berlow ’06, secretary Caryn Donohue ’06, treasurer Ashley Mahler ’07, and business manager Christina Morley ’06.
