Since September 2003, Carl G. Anderson Jr. ’67 has served as chairman of the board and CEO of Arrow International, which develops, manufactures, and markets disposable catheters and related products for critical and cardiac care.

Anderson, a Lafayette trustee, joined Reading, Pa.-based Arrow in 2002 after serving for five years as president and CEO of ABC School Supply, a manufacturer of educational products. Previously, he was vice president and general manager of the retail consumer products division of James River Corp.; vice president and general manager at Nestle Food Corp.; and a marketing executive for Procter & Gamble. A mechanical engineering graduate, he holds an MBA from Lehigh University.

“My education at Lafayette was the foundation of my career and my most valuable professional asset,” says Anderson. “I graduated as a mechanical engineer and would credit that experience with giving me the analytical and problem-solving skills required in a business career. However, I also was able to take a number of courses in the humanities, which gave me the skills in writing and communication one needs in a career in general management.”
