“I served an externship when I was in school, and I know how much it helped me,” says Christina Seckar ’96, human resources manager for Schlumberger, an international oilfield services company. Seckar helped keep the tradition alive when she hosted Leslie Saint ’04 at the firm’s Princeton Junction, N.J., offices, helping the student learn about a variety of human resources issues, including employee relations, performance appraisals, compensation, benefits, and general management issues. For Seckar, the experience helped her give back to Lafayette. “It feels great to return the favor,” she says.
