Entrepreneur and College trustee Mimi Moriarty MacLean ’93 traces her inspiration in the world of business to Rose Marie L. Bukics, Jones Professor of Economics and Business. “To this day I remain friends with her,” says MacLean, who runs Internet-based Savvy LLC, Darien, Conn., a high-end, personalized baby gift firm. “It was a great opportunity at a school I liked.” Once an investment banker and now a mother, MacLean drew from all of her experiences to start her company at home. Last summer, she hosted an intern from Lafayette.
