LifeSize Communications, an Austin, Texas-based videoconferencing company, has made Munira Fareed ’93 its vice president of marketing. Previously, she founded and ran Appleseed Partners, a marketing consulting firm. Ironically, Fareed claims that she was once shy. “Carolynn Van Dyke made me comfortable enough to voice my opinion and participate actively,” she says. “She made all of her students feel that what they had to say was important. Now I’m usually the first to speak up in meetings and love to address groups!” An economics & business and computer science graduate, Fareed says her favorite part of campus life was being a resident adviser in Ramer Hall.
