“You’re not just an account executive, but one with an interest in the arts and community service. That definitely came from Lafayette,” says Sallie Howell ’80, vice president of GE Consumer Finance, Stamford, Conn. “It was a broad-based liberal arts education that led to a foundation in lifelong learning. The experience was balanced. The involvement of professors, small class sizes, special projects, extracurricular activities, the arts, sports, and Greek system all contributed to a well-rounded individual.”
