STUDENT ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP RECEIVES $53,379 IN GRANTS FOR ARSENIC REMOVAL RESEARCH
Society of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (SEES) has received grants from WERC environmental research consortium and the EPA. Two students, two professors, and a recent graduate will continue research into method for removing arsenic from drinking water.

HYMAN ’85 NAMED AMONG LEADING WOMEN IN AUTO INDUSTRY Robert Bosch Corporation’s Sheryl Welsh Hyman ’85, senior vice president, original equipment sales for Asian, European and heavy-duty customers has been named among 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry by Automotive News and featured in a special Sept. 26 issue. The list recognizes women who are leaders in the field, making major decisions and having significant influence at their companies. Hyman, an industrial engineering graduate, received a master’s degree in business management from University of South Carolina.The Bosch Group is a leading global manufacturer of automotive and industrial technology, consumer goods, and building technology.
