The American Chemical Society (ACS) Scholars Program will award approximately 100 scholarships to minority undergraduate students pursuing four-year degrees in the chemical sciences (chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, and environmental science). These scholarships are for up to $2,500 for first-year students and $3,000 for sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

To qualify, candidates must be African American, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian U.S. citizens or permanent resident of the U.S.; high academic achievers in chemistry or science (3.0 or better); and able to demonstrate evidence of financial need. Students planning careers in medicine or pharmacy are not eligible.
