Student radio station WJRH 104.9 FM will host a rave party starting 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, and lasting until 1 a.m. Saturday in the Farinon Snack Bar.

Under black and strobe lighting, WJRH’s own DJ Allan (a.k.a. Robert Allan, associate professor of psychology), dj cOOK13, AMORFOUS dJBD, and dj Ace will mix up some dance and electronic tunes. Admission is free and glow sticks will be provided.

Marquis Scholar David Young ’08 (Bensalem, Pa.), WJRH event manager, reports that last semester’s rave in December was a success and he plans to have more raves this semester.

“We hold events like these to get the radio station’s name out there and to be a bigger presence on campus,” he says.

WJRH has made podcasts and broadband service available on demand on its web site, which will carry the spring schedule soon. The station’s live 128k audio feed can be heard on-line by copying the following link into Windows Media Player: http://139.147.134.22:8080. This only works on campus.

The studio can be reached at x5316.
