Alumni will have new ways to strengthen their connections with one another and the College when Lafayette’s Alumni Online Community launches Monday, May 1.

A Class Notes feature will enable alumni to share updates on their personal and professional lives and post pictures, all of which will be available immediately as they’re uploaded.

Participants can receive free, permanent email forwarding through a Lafayette email address that will direct email to the account of their choice. This will allow alumni to stay in touch even when jobs and email providers change.

An online directory also will make communicating with other alumni easier, from regaining contact with a long-lost friend to networking. Alumni have the option of removing their contact information from the directory.

In addition, an events calendar will provide information about alumni and campus happenings.

“We’re excited about providing these dynamic services through the Alumni Online Community,” says Sherri Jones, director of alumni affairs. “Alumni involvement and interaction are already major strengths of the Lafayette experience, and I believe this new resource will take them to an even higher level.”

Registration will be available through a link on the alumni web site. For more information, contact alumni affairs at (610) 330-5040, 1-800-LAFAYETTE (outside Pennsylvania) or alumni@lafayette.edu.
