The Lafayette Concert Band will present its annual Spring Concert 3 p.m. May 7 at the Williams Center for the Arts.

Finishing its second year under the direction of James Moyer, associate professor of music and director of bands, the band will present a program that includes works by major composers of music for band.

The free concert will feature works by Morton Gould, John Phillip Sousa, Robert Smith, Ronald Lo Presti, Elliot Del Borgo, Percy Grainger, Roland Barrett and Clifton Williams. There will be a short reception following the concert.

Student soloists will include: chemistry major Kristin Irace ’08 (Greenlawn, N.Y.) and psychology major Kristen Sorice ’08 (Pine Bush, N.Y.) on flute; biology major Nathan H. Newman ’09 (Fairmont, W. Va.) and neuroscience major Cristina Callagy ’09 (Hawthorne, N.J.) on trumpet; and mechanical engineering major Greg Hoeschele ’09 (Skillman, N.J.) on trombone.
