Comedian Dan Adhoot will perform 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1 in the Farinon College Center Snack Bar. Adhoot was a finalist on season two of NBC’s hit show “Last Comic Standing.”

Sponsored by the Lafayette Activities Forum (LAF) comedy committee, Adhoot’s show is free.

“I remember watching Dan on ‘Last Comic Standing,’” says Marquis Scholar and mathematics major Joellen Cope ’08 (Dillsburg, Pa.), co-chair of LAF’s comedy committee. “When I found out that he was on the college circuit, I was so excited to see him perform.”

Psychology major and fellow co-chair of LAF’s comedy committee Julia Olenski ’08 (Feasterville, Pa.) is also excited for Adhoot to perform on campus.

“Being a recent college graduate himself, his comedy really relates well to students,” she says.

In addition to “Last Comic Standing,” Adhoot has written for Comedy Central’s Crank Yankers and was featured on the channel’s Premium Blend. He has opened for Lewis Black, Jay Mohr, and Patton Oswalt.

He performs regularly at comedy clubs in Manhattan, and is a founding member of the highly acclaimed Upright Citizens Brigade-based improvisation and sketch troupe Gunshow.

LAF also sponsored comedian Alexandra McHale’s visit to Lafayette earlier this month.
