The Arts Society is hosting Christmas Caroling starting 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 6in the WilliamsCenter for the Arts lobby.

Participating carolers will walk to various houses on College Hill and sing two carols to each house, as well as give out candy canes. After caroling, the carolers are welcome to return to 641 Parsons Street for cookies, hot chocolate, and cider.

The event is open to all students in the Arts Society, as well as anyone else interested in joining. The walk will include houses on the closest neighboring streets, such as Pierce, Burke, Hamilton, and McCartney.

“In the past, caroling has gone very well, especially given the sometimes rainy and cold weather conditions,” says Maggie Oberrender ’07 (Bridgewater, N.J.), an English and French double major. “We mostly go to houses that are decorated for the holiday season, so most people are very welcoming to hear us sing. Students should join the caroling because it is a fun way to get into the holiday spirit, and it’s a chance to relax and sing a few Christmas carols amidst all the stress of the last week of classes and finals.”
