Alpha Gamma Delta sorority will be hosting a Spring Eggstravaganza fundraiser for the American Diabetes Foundation 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 1 in FarinonCollegeCenter, Marlo Room.

The Eggstravaganza will be a fun-filled day for community children to play games, participate in a variety of arts and crafts, learn the bunny hop from members of the Lafayette Dance Team, and hunt for Easter eggs.

Admission is $2 per child and registration goes from 1-1:30 pm. All proceeds will be donated to the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, which provides grants for diabetes research, education, and medical devices.

This year’s fundraiser is being organized by neuroscience major Ashley Gareau ’09 (Worcester, Mass.), philanthropy coordinator for AGD. Besides the annual Eggstravaganza fundraiser, the sorority also hosts Trick or Treat on the Hill in the fall.

“It is important to help the American Diabetes Foundation because the disease affects so many people. Also, it is great for college students to get involved in the community because you learn to appreciate all that you have at Lafayette,” says biology major Erin Murray ’09 (Hockessin, Del.), vice president of recruitment for AGD.

For more information, email public relations chair Lesley Kline ’09 (Yardley, Pa.), an anthropology and sociology major.
