April’s First Weekend in Easton will feature numerous activities ranging from concerts to children’s theater to the grand opening of the State Café and Grill at various locations throughout the city April 7.

A special event this month is the Scrambled Egg Scavenger Hunt April 1-8. Eggs will be placed inside businesses and at parks throughout downtown Easton. Some eggs will contain prizes and others will provide clues leading to the five golden eggs. Prizes include: a mountain bike from Genesis Bicycles, tickets to Cats at the State Theater, and dinner for four at Pearly Bakers’ Alehouse.

Next month, running May 5-30, will be a juried birdhouse competition. Residents can vote for the best birdhouses located in downtown storefronts. Birdhouses must be submitted by April 25. For information about these special events, call (610) 330-9942 or go to www.eastonmainstreet.org.

Also coming on May 4 will be an Open House at the Fowler Literacy, 200 Ferry Street, from 4-8 p.m. Visitors can tour Easton’s newest revitalized site, enjoy fun activities, win prizes, and much more. For information, call (610) 258-4362.
