Lafayette’s campus bells will sound 32 times at noon today in memory of the victims of the shootings at Virginia Tech. Lafayette will join institutions, churches, and cathedrals across Pennsylvania and the nation in this observance.

The Lafayette community is mourning the deaths of Daniel O’Neil ’06and Julia Pryde, daughter of Harry W. Pryde Jr. ’69.

“The horrific events at Virginia Tech serve to remind us of the fragility of life and the need to stand together in times of loss,” Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell said.
