Vocalist Michle Bautier will headline final event in the Jazz in the Square series for 2007
The College will provide free bus service to the final concert of the 2007 Jazz in the Square series in downtown Easton, which takes place 7 to 9 p.m. this Friday, Sept. 28, in Centre Square.
The bus service will run on a continuous loop from 6-10 p.m. from the Williams Center of the Arts to Centre Square.
The concert, which is free and open to the public, is headlined by vocal artist Michle Bautier and features French-born jazz pianist Patrick Poladian and Easton’s own Frank Belinc on guitar. The evening’s repertoire will include selections from the great American songbook of Gershwin, Ellington and others, along with unique treatments of pop tunes.

Nominated for awards by both the Outer Critics’ Circle and the New York Drama Desk for her leading role in the Broadway musical revue Stardust, Bautier’s unique vocal style has been appreciated by audiences from New York to Paris. Her portrait by legendary show business caricaturist Al Hirschfeld, was featured in The New York Times.
With a style that defies categorization, Bautier brings to each song an intensely personal view — expressed with deep emotion, spontaneity, and passion — through an instrument of exceptional range and purity. In the words of New York Times critic Stephen Holden, “Her three-octave range is more than matched by her intelligence that finds the plumb line to the core of whatever she sings.”
