Carolyn Romney ’08 documents how a desk used by President John F. Kennedy has come to Lafayette

As an independent study project, government & law and French double major Carolyn Romney ’08 (Ridgewood, N.J.) has produced a video documenting how a desk used by President John F. Kennedy has come to Lafayette due to the actions of two alumni.

Thomas Feehan ’79 had acquired the desk and donated it to the Policy Studies program. Matthew Weiss ’07 traced the history of the desk and authenticated its historical significance through work this summer at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. Romney’s project was conducted under the supervision of Mark Crain, Simon Professor of Political Economy and chair of Policy Studies.
