Many items on display are from the College’s collections

Today’s New York Times reviewed the French Founding Father: Lafayette’s Return to Washington’s America exhibit running through August at the New-York Historical Society. Many items in the exhibit come from Lafayette’s collections and were previously included in the College’s Son and his Adoptive Father: The Marquis de Lafayette and George Washington exhibit, which closed Oct. 28. The College’s exhibit was part of the yearlong celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Marquis de Lafayette’s birth.
