Star of Grey’s Anatomy will speak about Barack Obama

Kate Walsh of Grey’s Anatomy is scheduled to be on campus Friday, March 28, to speak about Barack Obama and the presidential campaign at 2 p.m. in Oechsle Hall room 224. Sponsored by the College Democrats, the event is open to Lafayette students, faculty, and staff.

“Walsh will discuss the reasoning that led her to conclude that Senator Barack Obama is the sole presidential candidate who can bring fundamental change to our politics and our nation,” says College Democrats president Katie Dranoff ’09 (Bala Cynwyd, Pa.).

According to Dranoff, this event is coming to Lafayette due to the extremely successful voter drive carried out by the College Democrats and Lafayette Students for Barack Obama. In the two weeks prior to spring break over 160 voters were registered at the College. For Lafayette students, this event represents the kick off for the Get Out the Vote effort before the April 22 primary election.
