Cast is made up of Lafayette students, alumni, and local artists

Lafayette College Theater is holding a special production of Museum, a comedy by Tina Howe, at the Chelsea Art Museum in New York City April 4 at 7 and 9 p.m.

Museum features a 38-member cast of Lafayette students, alumni, and local artists. Combining vaudeville sketches with cinema verite style, the play chronicles in real time the interaction of museum patrons with art and with one another as events on the closing day of a controversial exhibition descend into chaos. The production is directed by Michael O’Neill, associate professor of English and director of theater.

College Theater put on a campus production of Museum in the spring of 2007. Howe also served as the 2006-07 Closs Visiting Writer in Residence at Lafayette. During her residency, she visited writing classes, attended rehearsals of Museum, met individually with theater and writing students, and held a lecture about her work.
