Class of 2003 reunion organizer Allison Ahart is looking forward to gathering — by Danielle Ward ’08

During her four years at Lafayette, Allison Ahart ’03 was an active member of the campus community, participating in numerous clubs and activities. “When graduation was approaching, I realized that I didn’t want my involvement to end there,” she says, noting that volunteering to help plan the Reunion for the Class of 2003 was “a natural progression.”

“It will be nice to see how the campus has changed over the past four years—new library, new facilities,” she says.

Ahart hopes that being back on campus will allow her to reconnect with old friends and former classmates. “I am most looking forward to seeing all the old faces,” she says.

She says that Reunion will be a chance for Class of 2003 alumni to celebrate their college days.

“There were a lot of wonderful things during these four short years. College as a whole was a great experience—being part of a place where you can walk around and see so many familiar faces, the liberal opportunities that Lafayette gave the students both academically and in extra-curriculars, the professors who were so eager and enthusiastic to share their knowledge and guide us into our careers.”

Although Ahart misses her student days, she is looking forward to being back on campus as an alumna. “It truly is a beautiful place and there is a great history there,” she says. “It will be nice to be back as an alumna, reconnect with old friends, and make new friends with older alumni.”
