Members of the Lafayette Choir will lead its singing at the 173rd Commencement Saturday

Graduating seniors and other members of the campus community can enjoy a new recording of Lafayette’s Alma Mater made recently by students and Jennifer Kelly, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities.

The singing of the Alma Mater, with words and music by Walter C. Stier 1884, is a traditional part of the College’s annual Commencement exercises. Under Kelly’s direction, members of the Lafayette Choir will lead its singing at the 173rd Commencement this Saturday, May 24.

Commencement will begin at 2:30 p.m., following the academic procession at 2:15 p.m. The Baccalaureate service will be held at 10:30 a.m. the same day. The ceremonies will be held on the Quad. The rain location is Allan P. Kirby Sports Center.
