Slainte Irish Pub to open on Northampton Street June 17

A new restaurant, Slainte Irish Pub, will be bringing a healthy serving of Irish culture and cuisine to Easton starting June 17.

Slainte will be moving into the building at 665 Northampton St., which housed the Which Brew until it closed down last month.

The new owners, Jeannie Evangelista and Karen Bolcar, previously ran the College Hill Tavern on Cattell Street when it was called Begley’s.

Menu items will be typical tavern food as well as some traditional and unique Irish fare. Dishes include shepherd’s pie, Irish stew, Irish cheese steaks made with corned beef, and Irish nachos made with potatoes instead of tortilla chips.

The owners also plan on celebrating St. Patrick’s Day on a monthly basis. “St. Practice Day” will take place on the 17th of every month starting with the opening June 17. The event will feature live Irish music.
