Emma Seale ’11, of Santa Barbara, Calif., is a psychology major. She graduated from San Marcos High School.

What attracted you to Lafayette?

The small, homey size, liberal arts (academic freedom), Division I sports and school spirit, proximity to several relatives, proximity to New York City, a beautiful campus, and small classes.

Your favorite courses and professors?

I enjoyed my First-Year Seminar on Nonviolence, with Prof. Fabian. It was pretty tough but very interesting and eye-opening. I also enjoyed Psychopharmacology, Health Psychology, Latin, with a new professor, Markus Dubischar, and my College Writing course with Prof. Havranek. I also like Prof. Childs.

Tell us about some of your most fascinating Lafayette experiences.

I just love the freedom to explore whatever I want. I’m only a sophomore, and I have gotten to take a music class, an art class, Latin, and mythology, in addition to my psychology classes. Also the accessibility and friendliness of the faculty.

Involved in any student groups or activities?

I work at the Residence Life office and I am a member of Delta Gamma sorority.
