In the hopes of making all of Easton accessible to visitors and residents, a group of students has put together a mapping project of the city’s parks, trails, local shops, and public transportation. As part of the Mapping Urban Ecology course taught by Bonnie Winfield, director of the Landis Community Outreach Center, the students spent the last semester taking pictures, shooting video footage, doing historical research, and writing descriptive essays focusing on the relationship between people and nature in Easton.
The project also has been featured in the Morning Call and the Express Times.
