Composting Day will be May 30

The Easton Farmers’ Market is holding a Composting Day from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, May 30 in Centre Square.

Sponsored by Rainbow Farm, the event will teach the basics of successful composting. Penn State master gardener Joe Judge will make a composting presentation at a 10:30 a.m. At 11 a.m. visitors can learn how to create their own backyard composter using a simple trash can. There also will be a drawing to win three composters at noon.

As the nation’s oldest continuously operating open-air farmers’ market, the Easton Farmers’ Market offers information, ideas, recipes, and more from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday, May through November.
