It outperformed 83 others

The Easton Main Street Initiative has been named the highest performer out of the 84 Main Street programs in Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Downtown Center announced the honor earlier this month during its annual conference in Johnstown.

According to Kim Kmetz, Main Street manager, the designation is based on statistics the program reports to the state, such as volunteer hours, number of businesses retained, and construction projects.

“We are very excited [about this honor], because it represents a true report card of our progress,” says Kmetz.
