Fiorella Bellini ’13
Neuroscience major Fiorella Bellini ’13 (Vienna, Va.) discusses her role on the volleyball team and how the mind and body work together.
What do you enjoy about your major?
My major has completely made me look at the human body differently. It is amazing how much goes on in the brain and body that we take for granted.
One class that every Lafayette student should try to take is…
Everyone on my team gets so sick of me talking about this class, but this semester I am in Adult Development and Aging. We learn all about the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of getting older and I absolutely love it.
How would you define your role on the team (on and off the court)?
On the court, I am a defensive player so my main job is to never let the ball hit the floor. Off the court, I have been somehow coined “Mama Bear.” Even if I might not agree with it completely, I will admit that I have quite the soft side.
What is your favorite sport other than volleyball?
I really like basketball although I don’t prefer to do it in public because I can only make it rain air-balls.
What television show have you seen every episode of?
Modern Family… how could you not?
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Anywhere that has warm weather and a beach.
What song/band/album is most likely to be playing on your iPod?
I have all sorts of music on my iPod so it’s like opening a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get.
Team-Given Nickname: Feefers, Feefs, Fifi, Fizzle, Fizzarella… anything but Fiorella really.
Favorite Cartoon Character: Eeyore
