Students and alumni across the nation celebrated the 186th anniversary of the founding of Lafayette College last week.

Alumni gathered in 21 locations March 9 to take part in Wine 3/9: A Coast to Coast Toast to Lafayette. The annual event celebrates the signing of the charter establishing the College by the governor of Pennsylvania March 9, 1826.

A Coast to Coast Toast

On campus, students attended Dine 3/9 with President Daniel H. Weiss and Easton mayor Sal Panto. Weiss led a non-alcoholic toast, and Panto was presented with a replica of the Lafayette College charter.
