Spring 2014 Lafayette Magazine

Four publications produced by the Communications Division have been selected as recipients of Certificates of Excellence in the 2014 American Inhouse Design Awards competition.

Sponsored by Graphic Design USA magazine, the American Inhouse Design Awards is the nation’s biggest showcase for outstanding work by in-house designers. The awards recognize creative projects produced by marketing and communications departments within corporations, publishing houses, nonprofits, universities, and government agencies. More than 4,000 entries were submitted to the competition this year. Only 15 percent of them received a Certificate of Excellence.

The publications receiving recognition are:

Donna Kneule, director of design services, was principal designer of Lafayette Magazine, which included contributions from Kevin Hardy, senior graphic designer, and part-time designers Gayle Hendricks and Kristen Ortiz. Kneule also directed the design of the other winning publications.

Dale Mack, print production manager and graphic designer, designed McDonogh Voice. Hardy designed Information Technology Services Annual Report, 2013, and Ortiz designed Two Weeks in April.

Photography by Chuck Zovko is featured in Lafayette Magazine, McDonogh Voice, and Two Weeks in April. Lafayette Magazine also features images by Steve Babujlak. Information Technology Services Annual Report features informational graphics by Hardy.
