In the College’s 13 Division I spring sports, 180 students were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this distinction, student athletes need to record at least a 3.20 grade point average (GPA) during the semester.

The baseball team had 20 students earn spots on the honor roll to match Bucknell for the most honorees in the league. Biology graduate Cory Spera ’15 was one of just three baseball players conference-wide to earn a 4.0 grade point average this semester. Spera was joined by Toby Schwartz ’15, who graduated with an A.B. with majors in English and film & media studies, and Tim Lazor ’15, who graduated with an A.B. in economics and a B.S. in mathematics, as three of only five graduating seniors throughout the league to make the honor roll for the fourth consecutive year.

Men’s basketball placed six students on the honor roll with Eric Stafford ’18 (Pitman, N.J.) leading the team with a 4.0 GPA.

Seven members of the women’s basketball team have been named to the honor roll. Anna Ptasinski ’18 (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) led the Leopards with a 3.78 GPA.

The golf team placed a league-best eight students on the honor roll. In his fourth season on the honor roll, economics graduate Robert Dyer ’15 led the team with a 3.67 GPA.

Men’s lacrosse landed 17 students with Scott McAvoy ’18 (Wyomissing, Pa.) leading the way with 3.85 GPA.

The women’s lacrosse team placed 18 students on the honor roll. Psychology and art graduate Katie Elander ’15, economics graduate Taylor McGinnis ’15, and Dana Smith ’18 (Princeton, N.J.) led the Leopards with 4.0 GPAs.

Eleven softball players earned spots on the honor roll. Biology major Stephanie Schreiber ’16 (Chicago, Ill.) topped the list with a 3.83 GPA.

The swimming and diving team placed 33 students on the honor roll. Robyn Henderek ’15, who graduated with an A.B. with majors in geology and anthropology & sociology, Jane Kuntz ’15, who graduated with an A.B. with majors in psychology and Spanish, and Nick Whiteman ’18 (Delmont, Pa.) all achieved 4.0 GPAs.

Men’s and women’s tennis had 16 members on the honor roll. On the men’s side, mechanical engineering graduate Brian Pinkard ’15 led the way with a 4.0 GPA. Tori Almeida ’17 (White Plains, N.Y.), economics major Lauren Tracy ’17 (Marlton, N.J.), and neuroscience major Ally Simels ’17 (Ridgefield, Conn.) led the women with 3.68 GPAs.

The track and field team placed 44 students on the honor roll. Colleen McGovern ’18 (North Wales, Pa.), neuroscience graduates Bridgette Meloro ’15 and Alex Van Hoof ’15, and Steven Young ’18 (Manheim, Pa.) all had 4.0 GPAs.
