Hunger in Easton doesn’t end because of social distancing. That’s why philanthropy chairs at the College’s Greek organizations organized a Greek-wide fundraiser to support Family Connection of Easton and Second Harvest Food Bank.

Spearheaded by Brian Kaufmann ’21 and Sam Scott ’22, the daily fundraiser goals feature a pairing of fraternities and sororities who created challenges that are sure to draw attention in social media and, hopefully, inspire donations.

“I reached out to Chelsea Cefalu [assistant director of community-based learning and research] because I knew she could provide us with information on who needed our help the most in the community,” says Scott.

They set aside the last day of the fundraiser as an opportunity for anyone to fundraise on behalf of the two community partners.

“While the Greek organizations are hosting the fundraiser, this is a collective effort among all members of the Lafayette community,” says Scott.
