Outstanding students were inducted into Phil Alpha Theta honors society and given awards in May 6 virtual event
Lafayette’s history department honored the achievements of its students during a virtual celebration, which was also attended by several alumni.
Christy Fic ’10 delivered the keynote address, “Designing the Cumberland Valley Railroad Museum at Shippensburg Station.” Fic is the archivist & special collections librarian at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, where she also holds the title of associate professor.
Faculty members celebrated the new inductees into the Phi Alpha Theta Beta XI Chapter and awarded several prizes to recognize students’ achievements, which you can view here.
The event concluded with an address from the Lonnie G. Bunch III, secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, who delivered the American Historical Association Commencement Address, which was shared with history majors graduating in 2020.
