History alumni share their academic journeys and future plans

When you think of history, you may think of past world events and how they have impacted all that is happening around us today. It’s true that as a history major, you can study any region in the world to understand how people, their culture, and time shape the human experience.
To put it simply, all of us are shaped by what has come before us.
History students graduate from Lafayette with skills that are necessary and important for most professions—such as communication, research, and analysis—and often continue with schooling and careers that foster a spirit of curiosity and meaningful citizenship.
Recent history graduates opened up about their transitions into continuing education or their respective career fields, illustrating the opportunities available to Lafayette history students.
