PBS39, the public television station that broadcasts Lafayette Lens, has created a landing page to provide easy access to all of the recent segments produced by students studying political and policy issues with Prof. Mark Crain.

“I’m grateful to PBS39 for its steadfast support as my students explore issues of global importance by reaching out to national and regional experts and thought leaders,” said Crain, William E. Simon Professor of Political Economy and chair of policy studies.
According to the ratings monitored by Lehigh Valley Public Media, home of PBS39, the estimated viewership of recent Lafayette Lens programs was well above 50,000.
Crain noted that Lafayette’s collaboration with PBS39 has grown stronger over the years and has reached a point where improvements can be made with ease because of the well-established professional relationships with the station’s senior staff, who offer students encouragement and tips as they refine their video content.
Crain, William E. Simon Professor of Political Economy and chair of policy, along with Nicole Crain, who is now professor of economics at the National Defense University, formed a partnership with PBS39 in 2012 to produce coverage of the national elections. The partnership has expanded since then and now includes Lafayette Lens, a half-hour series covering issues of global importance.
Links to all editions of the broadcasts are available on the policy studies website.

I love that layfayette has formed this partnership. I went into broadcast journalism after graduation and these opportunities will help propel this next generation of students into their careers. Good luck to all of them
