Amy Guisinger, assistant professor of economics, spoke with WFMZ-TV about the Federal Reserve increasing interest rates half a point—the biggest increase in over 20 years—to fight inflation.
“What the Fed is hoping is if they can increase interest rates, things like mortgage rates or home loans, anything that individual consumers would get loans for, those rates are going to increase as well,” Guisinger shared with the news outlet.
