Chip Bergh ’79 made a special trip to Lafayette this spring to deliver two Commencement addresses: one to the Class of 2022 and one to the Class of 2020, who returned to campus two years after graduating via a virtual ceremony. The day before he delivered his remarks and received an honorary degree, the president and CEO of Levi Strauss & Co. joined President Nicole Farmer Hurd for a tour around campus. Bergh shared his memories of building a slingshot on the roof of South College, his gratitude for his strong liberal arts education, and his appreciation for how the College has become more diverse since his time as a student.
