President Nicole Farmer Hurd smiles

WFMZ-69 News on Thursday (5/18) interviewed President Nicole Hurd about possible ideas for Lafayette’s Metzgar Fields.

Some of the ideas at the 200-acre site off Sullivan Trail in neighboring Forks Township include a hotel, conference center, more community fields, a sports training complex, and green space.

About 3 miles northwest of the main campus, the Metzgar Fields complex is home to several Lafayette outdoor sports programs, including cross country, field hockey, baseball, football, soccer, lacrosse, softball, and track and field, with seating for more than 1,000 spectators, and Kamine Varsity House.
