USA Today has reported that Apple TV+ next year will premiere a nine-part World War II series based on Donald L. Miller’s 2006 book Masters of the Air: America’s Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany.

In the book, Miller, the John Henry MacCracken Emeritus Professor of History, chronicles the story of the American Eighth Air Force’s 100th Bomb Group, which was organized in 1942 to stop the German war economy through high-altitude strategic bombing. Produced by Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman, the Masters of the Air series will air starting on Jan. 26.
