Dear Students and Colleagues,

We are excited to announce an organizational change designed to advance our commitment to fostering an inclusive community.

Following careful consideration about the responsibilities of our respective divisions and how we can best serve students’ needs and goals together, we have decided to centralize the work of diversity, equity, and inclusion professionals under the Division of Inclusion, led by Dr. Ernest Jeffries. The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life and the Office of Intercultural Development are included in the organizational shift.

We appreciate the commitment of the staff involved in this move and are excited to elevate their work, including the launch of a search for a new Director of Intercultural Development this month. This change in reporting structure brings together the work of units dedicated to supporting the range of identities, experiences, beliefs, and perspectives that each member of our community brings to campus. Every unit across our respective offices will remain in close partnership with one another to coordinate the work of these outstanding teams in service to our students.

As VP for Inclusion, Dr. Jeffries will be working closely with staff and the team in student life to ensure a smooth transition. The services of each office remain fully available to everyone on campus during the transition.

If you have questions about this transition, please let us know and we will do our best to respond promptly.

Kind regards,

Sarah Moschenross, Vice President for Student Life
Ernest Jeffries, Vice President for Inclusion
