Efforts to ensure students remain engaged with hands-on lab work receives media attention
Maggie Ledwith ’22 works on the sheep brain dissection.
Students in Physiological Psychology 2 lab are having the opportunity to do hands-on lab work, despite the College’s remote learning environment.
Luis Schettino, associate professor of psychology and neuroscience, and Michelle Tomaszycki, assistant professor of psychology and neuroscience, provided students lab kits to give students the opportunity to do work they would traditionally do in an on-campus lab.
For the neuroanatomy module, students were sent sheep brains for dissection and analysis.
Several media outlets covered how the lab is continuing to function and provide students with dynamic learning opportunities, including a story for Futurism by Dan Robitzski ’15, who studied neuroscience as a Lafayette student.
