“Dr. Mitchell deserves to be recognized as a Faculty All-Star because of her infectious personality and passion for learning and commitment to student success. She thoroughly takes interest in her students by asking how they are doing and encourages them to use her as a resource whether it be for recommendation letters or research. Dr. Mitchell is also one of the most intelligent and kindhearted professors that I have met. I would be remiss if I didn’t nominate her and thank Dr. Mitchell for her contributions to my success as a student.” Dylan Crossen ’22, football, biology

“Dr. Mitchell deserves this recognition for so many reasons! As both a class student and research student of hers, she never failed to accommodate for and understand my commitments as a student-athlete. During research last semester, she allowed me to join weekly lab meetings via Zoom so that I could participate while working out on the stationary bike at practice. No other professor that I know of would understand that commitment and make that accommodation.” Dannah Javens ’23, cross country and track & field teams, biology
