My research focuses on: Using theater to facilitate gender parity and social change by amplifying social issues affecting American women and girls.

This fall, I am teaching: THTR 130: Acting I and THTR 280: Speaking Power

What students can expect from me: I believe all students are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can feel safe to express themselves as individuals and artists. I approach my role as an educator from a place of mentorship. Most of my classes are discussion based and active. We rarely sit and listen to me lecture on a subject. Instead, I lead with open-ended questions that encourage and require deep critical thinking on the subjects I teach. All of my courses require public speaking and student leadership. I trust my students to do the readings and watch assigned performances, and come to class ready to engage in thoughtful and challenging discussions that allow us to learn from each other.

Getting to know me: In addition to being passionate about theater, I love kayaking, hiking, and camping.
