Lafayette College held its annual All-College Honors Convocation May 3 in Colton Chapel.

The event celebrates student academic and community achievement, where more than 100 endowed and department awards are presented to students by the president, the office of provost, faculty, and other College community members. During this year’s ceremony, eight of the 10 Pepper Prize finalists received various academic awards.

Guest speaker was Caroline Lang Thompson ’13 (government and law, minor in philosophy), who serves as Global Head of Intellectual Property and Brand Protection at Educational Testing Service, leading international teams to protect high-stakes exam content at the intersection of law, technology, and policy.

She also serves as mayor of Yardley, a historic and culturally significant borough on the Delaware River in lower Bucks County. During her nine years as mayor, a volunteer position, Thompson, who also holds an MBA from Western Governors University, has focused on growing municipal savings and securing millions in grant funding while building in-house grant writing.
