The Leopard holds the Lafayette-Lehigh Giving Challenge trophy with President Alison Byerly, Kim Spang, vice president for development and college relations, and Meghan Morici, director of the annual fund.
Lafayette didn’t just beat Lehigh in the 150th game in college football’s most-played rivalry; it also won the fifth annual Lafayette-Lehigh Giving Challenge.
The Leopards dominated on the field 27-7 at Yankee Stadium and in donations with 8,696 points to Lehigh’s 8,148. Those numbers were more than double the totals for last year’s challenge for both schools.
Over the last several weeks, the Leopard and Lehigh’s Mountain Hawk were competing in a series of video shorts to rally support for their school in the challenge. The friendly competition culminated in a live race during the game with the Leopard crossing the finish line first. President Alison Byerly was presented with the LL Challenge trophy.
